# Beauty and nails

Build a salon or nail platform on Nerova: the salon vertical capabilities, a light all-standard intake, and bookings without subjects.

This guide shapes the Provider API contract for a salon or nail platform. It is the simple end of the vertical spectrum: no subjects, no sensitive data, and a set of optional capabilities built for retail service businesses.

What you declare here:

* The core nine booking capabilities plus the salon vertical set: `CreateClients`, `ReadSales`, `ReadLoyalty`, `RedeemLoyalty`, `ReadGiftCards`, and `IssueGiftCards`.
* `IntakeForms` with a light schema where every field is explicitly labeled `"sensitivity": "standard"`, so the AI concierge can collect answers in the WhatsApp conversation itself.
* No subject capabilities: the client is the person in the chair, so bookings carry no `subject`.

The pages in order:

1. [Declare the catalog](/guides/verticals/beauty-and-nails/manifest-and-services.md): manifest and services for a salon.
2. [Intake without sensitive data](/guides/verticals/beauty-and-nails/intake.md): why every salon field carries an explicit `standard` label.
3. [Book and confirm](/guides/verticals/beauty-and-nails/booking.md): the booking round trip, plus where loyalty and gift cards come in.

Prerequisite: a Live API key and a Provider API v1 implementation that passes the core conformance checks, per [zero-to-live](/guides/zero-to-live/zero-to-live.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.nerovasystems.com/guides/verticals/beauty-and-nails.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
